Hi, I’m Bruce, the owner/photographer behind Precious Animals. After taking photos with my first film camera from Minolta, I kept learning about photography as well as upgrading my gear. My photography improved as well. In the summer of 2025 I was able to upgrade to my current Sony camera and wow !!! Photos have exceeded my expectations.

Through the years I have fallen in love with pet photography taking many photos of my dog when she was still here as well as taking many photos of wildlife. Just going to Assiniboine Park proved to be one of the most rewarding places to go for wildlife photos. I was one of many photographers at the park taking photos of the Great Horned Owl nesting with her baby. I fell in love with the Cooper Hawks that nested at the park as well. There are plenty of deer around and other smaller animals as well. I have a large collection of photos now and wish to share the lives of wildlife in their natural habitat. I also want to capture photos of pets in heartfelt portraits and celebrating their unique personalities. 

I want to do something I love and I am happiest outdoors, surrounded by wildlife. For this reason I started a wildlife and pet photography business based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Over the years, I’ve combined my love for photography and my passion for animals to create stunning portraits that celebrate their uniqueness.

I specialize in outdoor pet photography, especially dogs, capturing them in their favorite natural spaces — running, exploring, or simply being themselves. My sessions are relaxed and fun, giving every pet the freedom to shine in their own way. Whether it’s a snowy Winnipeg trail or a golden prairie sunset, I aim to create images that tell genuine stories of companionship and joy.  I truly believe every animal has a story worth preserving.
